LSR Approach

The LSR Approach
Often the first question that we hear from a prospective client is, “How does the LSR approach separate itself from other commercial roofing companies?” Or on occasion we’ll hear, “Besides the price, what would make me want to hire LSR to do our project?”

Those are both very valid questions. At LSR, the number one goal is to establish a solid rapport with the customer. We recognize that replacing a roof is a major decision, and that there are a number of excellent roofing companies that offer great service and quality. We always encourage our potential customers to secure competitive bids, but in doing so it is vitally important as a part of that exercise, that all participating contractors are working within a common specification of materials and installation scope for the roofing systems in order for the customer to make an educated decision prior to awarding the project.

Now this is not to say that all roofing contractors won’t vary slightly on their recommendation or professional opinion, but over the years we have found there to be major inconsistencies that have affected both the pricing and scope of work to be performed. That’s why we invest as much time as possible on the front end of every project to ensure that we have established a thorough understanding of the needs of our client.

What’s important to you?

We have installed a mile or two of roofs since our beginnings in 1992 and have learned the importance of being a good listener! We think that’s why God gave us all two ears and one mouth! Ultimately we want to fully understand what is most important to the customer. For some clients, it was our ability to protect them from any surprises throughout the production of their project. For others, it was a need to understand and be a part of the decision making process. And still others, the ability to stay on task and complete the project on time and on budget. LSR considers all of these areas of great significance.

So in order to fully realize the client’s needs, LSR has devised systems and processes through the use of construction software programs to better manage the projects while meeting the customer’s expectations. Every bit of detailed information exists within the project portal. Everything from material specifications, daily project logs, correspondence, any job related change orders, key contacts, invoicing status, punch list reviews, warranties, etc. LSR keeps you informed every step of the way!

There is no such thing as a “dumb” question!

At LSR, we strive to learn something new everyday. We stress the importance of education and staying on the cutting edge of new technology and advancements in the roofing industry. Our industry has come a long ways in so many aspects of roofing today–everything from energy efficiency improvements in roofing systems that naturally help offset climate control cost, to advancements in the chemical properties within the roofing materials that reduce premature deterioration by powerful infrared and UV rays.

We believe that the best way to learn is to ask questions. We encourage our sales representatives to do the same with any new prospective client. The more information, the better–what long term plans do you have for your building asset? What type of warranty is most practical for your long or short term plans for the asset? What is the usage and purpose for the facility? What budgetary considerations do we need to work within?

Show me the savings!

In other words, show me the money! All too often the option of doing a complete re-roof is too costly, yet the annual expense to keep your building at a cool controlled climate ends up costing even more. When considering the typical rooftop mounted A/C compressor unit, it is connected to a network of sheet metal ducts that carry the conditioned air to vents throughout the building’s interior. Often these return ducts are un-insulated bare hot dipped galvanized steel or coated with a corrosion resistant primer. As a result, you are literally pushing your A/C unit compressors to work much harder when the surface return ducts aren’t coated with a highly reflective white roof coating–which typically reduces the temperature of the duct itself by as much as 30˚F cooler!

Did you know that 10% of our available landfill space is attributed to roofing materials. 60% of all roofs in the U.S. are being replaced prematurely due to leaks. Let us help you and the environment by extending the life of your roof a decade longer! Our cool roofing program is designed to provide your facility with the highest degree of energy savings, and can be applied to restore metal, built-up, modified bitumen, polyurethane foam, EPDM, TPO, and PVC. Every roof coating system we install comes with a manufacturer minimum 10-year warranty upon completion and inspection by the manufacturer. Our goal is to extend the life of your roof, and in doing so we encourage that the proper maintenance program be followed to guarantee long-term performance.
