Bill Chinners grew up working construction alongside his father and grandfather — framing, carpentry, and roofing were part of his DNA from an early age. He learned to love the craft and the satisfaction of seeing hard work pay off at the end of a long day.
In 1992, after serving as VP at a roofing company in Dallas, Bill saw firsthand how a business could fail its customers, its employees, and its vendors. He resigned — and started Lone Star Roofing out of his garage with a different vision: do what is right, always.
Bill focused exclusively on roof leak repairs for multifamily properties — a segment every other roofing company ignored because the jobs were "too small." What others saw as a limitation, Bill saw as an opportunity: high volume, loyal customers, and the kind of steady, predictable business that didn't depend on the next big storm.
Within two years, he had outgrown his garage. Within a decade, his customers were bringing him their re-roof projects — not because he sold them, but because they trusted him. Over thirty years later, Lone Star Roofing has grown into LSR Multifamily, now offering roofing, welding, and construction services to over 1,300 properties across Texas.
